Healing Services
Mondays (Chapel) - 12:10 pm - 6:00 pm These simple, yet poignant, services offer healing prayers with anointing and laying on of hands. These spoken word services last approximately fifteen minutes. |
Saturday Worship
Saturdays (Chapel) - 6:00 pm Saturday worship has been called the "casual" service by many. Held in the Chapel, this service features limited hymns and liturgy, traditional prayers and messages. Holy communion is offered the second and fourth Saturdays of each month. St. John Lutheran practices "open" communion - all baptized believers are invited to share in Holy Communion. Those not receiving the sacrament may choose to receive a blessing. Welcome to the table. Musicians for Saturday services utilize the piano or Clavinova. The song leader brings liturgy to life and helps new hymns become more familiar. |
Sunday Worship
Sundays (Sanctuary) - 8:15 am - 10:30 am The Early Service (8:15 am Sunday) is the "lite" version of our traditional service - all the prayers and messages you expect, with a pared down liturgy and limited number of hymns. The Late Service (10:30 am Sunday) is a traditional service with liturgy, hymns, prayers, a children's message, and the message. Holy communion is offered at both services on the first and third Sundays of each month. St. John Lutheran practices "open" communion - all baptized believers are invited to share in Holy Communion. Those not receiving the sacrament may choose to receive a blessing. Welcome to the table. Musicians for Sunday services utilize the grand piano or the organ. The liturgist (song leader) at the Late Service brings the liturgy to life and helps new hymns become more familiar. Special music is presented at the Late Service (10:30 am) by choirs and individuals.
